HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Looking Foward.

That is part of what every New Year is about, we have a time to reflect on the past year between Christmas and the New Year but now we are hoping for better things!

The bible always manintains that emphasis of looking forward to Jesus’ return and our going home to be with the Master. We are warned not to dwell on the past, but race to the futures.

Luke 9:62,  Phillipians 3:12,  Hebrews 11:16,  2 Peter 3:12.

Yule.

Winter Celebrations.

Now enveloped into the New Year celebrations, but still marked by many northern-European countries from the 31st December to 3rd January each year with slightly diffrent names.

Russia calls it the winter frost and this is as close to the Santa tradition or their father frost arriving with childrens gifts, meanwhile the rest of.Europe has left us the one last hint of the Yule log Christmas cake.

Different religions and calanders all have there own New Years, but they help us to reflect on the year past and all that has occured in it, good and bad. Sometimes this is also good to reflect and consider all the good things that Jesus has done for us, even since the day we were saved.

Psalm 141:5,  Ecclesiastes 3:6,  Acts 10:34,  1 Peter 4:14.

Happy New Year.

Happy New Year.

‘Hope.’

We are now in the New year of 2014 and we are all hoping that this year will be better than the last one. We all want to see the best for ourselves and families, friends? We are hoping to see everything in a better light and to have less problems.

Maybe this year for some of us we will consider and come to accept Jesus as our personal Savior. In Him we will find a hope that will not fade like that of the world, which just comes and goes.

Psalm 9:18,  65:5,   Proverbs 11:23,   Matthew 12:21,   Romans 2:7,   Titus 1:2, Hebrews  6:18-19.

Mary. Part-Three.

After the birth of Jesus, Mary and Joseph are told by the Angel to flee to Egypt. Traditionally we see the images of Mary on the donkey. but the reality is that only men rode donkeys, Mary would of followed on foot behind. Matthew 2:13-23.

These events occurred after the wise men had visited the Lord and presented their gifts from the east to Him. Jesus was a one year-old child by now. Matthew 2:1-12.
