Halloween. Two.

Authority over the Enemy.

All Hallows is the traditional time to point out that God has more power over the darkness, demonic, evil and wickedness in this world! It is also a time of dressing up and having fun with our children?

For believers we are reminded of the struggles that we face everyday and we see and know that God through the Holy Spirit has given us the authority to rebuke the Devil, knowing that he will flee from us.

Gods love for this world can only truly be found in His one and only son Jesus, who went of His own choice to the cross to die for our failures! His resurrection from the grave made the victory of taking away the sting of death! The world fears many things, but there is no fear in Love, in Jesus love.

Wickedness. Part-One,

Keeping Safe.

The world around us is full of wickedness, everyone tells lies like truth, even our own hearts want to sin it crouches waiting for the moment to enter our hearts and minds.

But we must resist it, refuse the temptations and say no to revenge and retaliation. Instead we must seek what is right and fare and always try to do our best to be good and avoid conflict.

Psalm 51:10,  73:12-18, Matthew 5:8,  Titus 3:5,  James 4:8.

Paying the Price.

Stephen.

Stephen is the first Christian martyr of the New Tesatament and is an example to all of us, that sometimes we may end up in a sticky situation. The men who murdered Stephen hated him, because they could not prove him wrong and at the same time they were refusing to believe the truth.

Today the world is full of wicked, evil and selfish people, who just want to take what is not theirs, want to lie and steal, refuse to work, make excuses. We need to be careful in what we say and not to over do it.

Psalm 44:22,  Acts 6:11-15,  7:54-60,  22:20,  Revelation 12:11.

Deliver us from Evil.

These words we know from the Lords prayer are very potent. Matthew 6:13 and Luke 11:4. We do live in a world full of evil, starvation, famine, wars, man made and natural such as earthquakes.

The Bible tells us that we must remove evil from around us an also not allow ourselves to fall into the temptation of it. Habakkuk 2:9, Judges 20:8. Purge is used, and so how to apply it today, to purge out all those from our community, the drug dealers, the criminal, the immoral, even the tax-dodger.

But we must also purge out on a personal level to the selfish heart, the greed and our many other failings to get right before Jesus. Galatians 1:4.
