Believers and Christians. Two.

Stephen to Now!

Everyday believers in the death and resurrection of Jesus are being murdered, because they refuse to deny our Lord or recant of their trust in the Almighty, Eternal Father God!

Islam and many religions claim to know God, but their God is far away and requires war, conflict and blood of innocent people? This week we have seen more terror in Germany, in Iraq and in Syria with Christians being killed from a market to a Church!

We have one attribute over this enemy that is attacking us, and that is forgiviness which they do not have!

Luke 23:34,  Acts 7:60,  2 Corinthians 4:9,  Hebrews 10:33,  11:37.

Jesus, witness the Truth. One.

‘Glory to God in the Highest.’

Angels appeared to shepherds in the field to tell them to good new that Jesus their Messiah was born in stable! This apperance is not a fluke, but points to Jesus ancestor David the King of Israel and friend of God?

Many people still have the religion that they were brought up into today, but everything to some is order and tradition? It is not based on faith or trust in God, there is no personal relationship with God, with Jesus?

But many thousands each year do come to a personal faith in Jesus as their own personal Lord and Saviour! They had an encounter with Jesus, that has changed their outlook from keeping rules to being set free?

Isaiah 53:4-7,  Luke 1:34-38,  Luke 2:10-15,  Romans 3:23,  6:23,  1 John 1:9.

NO GOD?

Foolishness.

Many people today trust in things, sex, material goods, property, land, pets, but they claim no faith or beliefe in God?

There are many who claim to know God, they do good deeds and works, they are pious and religious and they try to be good living.

There is a God, who we remember every Christmas and Easter, that sent His one and only son to bring us back by His sacrifice for our failure into relationship with the Father.

Proverbs 1:7,  22,  Amos 5:4,  Matthew 3:2,  Mark 9:31,  Luke 13:32,  Acts 4;12,  2 Corinthians 6:2.

Religion. Part-One.

Guidance and a Compass.

Most people today live in a state of going from A to B/Z hoping for the best, but they quickly end up being dissapointed in wht they are trying to do!

We so do need to have God in our lives, religion offers the security of keeping rules and regulations and it is fixed.

But faith in Jesus sets us free from these regulations and rules and gives us access to trust and hope for the better.

Ruth 1:12,  Job 4:6,  Psalm 38:15,  Romans 5:2,  Ephesians 2:12,  Hebrews 10:23.

God’s Protection. Part-Three.

Every Day.

One could say every moment we need Jesus to be with us, at home, at work, services, ministry, school and even in retirement. Because being a believer and follower of Jesus, we will be attacked from all sorts of angles.

God has promised and He is far from a lier, he is truth eternal and it is to Him that we can rely and trust on for His help always.

Luke 18:7,  Romans 15:31,  Ephesians 6:14.

Good Merit. Part-Three.

‘No back doors.’

God had no other way set in place for people to be saved, no one will get into heaven unless they place their faith and trust in Jesus death and resurrection from the grave. It remains a simple message that we either take or leave.

Many people believe that by their good works and deeds this will be enough, but you have to believe first. After then you will have plenty of time to apply the Gospel message.

John 10:1-18,  Matthew 22:8-12,  John 3:3,  1 Corinthians 15:3-4,   Revelation 21:27.

Ascension. Part-Two.

Promised Holy Spirit.

Jesus had to leave, but He will return one day for all who have placed their faith and trust in Him. Jesus told his followers to go and wait in Jerusalem for the promised Holy Spirit to be poured out so that the believers could be empowered to serve God. Mark 16:19-20.

This they did and these tremendous events happened. Today the ‘Church/Ekklesia is the largest religious movement on the planet, but then it was a very small group of Jews and a couple of Gentiles. All followed the Jewish Messiah of Israel, which we continue to do today. Acts 2, Joel 2:28-32.

Without the power of the Holy spirit within the believer we are nothing and religion is an empty repeatable religious tradition. Good works and trying in our own estimation will not save us from eternal damnation, only faith and trust in Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection from the dead will do that.
