Our Mothers?

Always wanting the best!

Mothering Sunday is about showing respect and honour for our parents, who have done their best for us? Not all family situations are perfect for many reasons and not all of have had a happy relationship with our mothers?

This time of the year is to show our appreciation, but it should be more than gifts but rather service to see how they are doing and what they really perhaps need from us?

Mary was the mother of Jesus and she was at times really worried for her son, but she did not always fully understand what the role of her Son was until after the event!

Remembrance Sunday.

The World and the Church.

Many people will gather to rember their fallen this weekend from the British and Commonwealth armed forces from the great war (1914-18) to the present conflicts. These gatherings can have so many meanings for so many people from victory over an enemy to occupation and oppression.

For the believer every Sunday is a remembrance day of what Jesus has done for us! We press on in everyday battles, with our enemy the Devil who does not rest from attacking the Saints.
