For God so loved…His. Two.

A New start for Us?

God gave us His one and only Son Jesus to take our places in the redemption of sins. God has chosen us for Eternal life, not because we deserve it from anything that we have done, but rather from His mercy on our failures.

Many people make quick choices in relation to becoming Christians, others think that by being good and living a right way in their own eyes they will get into Heaven? But this not the case, as with the man in wrong clothes at the wedding supper found out.

We all have to bow in admission of our failure to Jesus, asking His forgiveness and mercy on us and promising to have a mental change of attitudes not continuing or returning to what we were.

Partakers. Two.

Who we Are!

We who claim faith in Jesus are no longer of the things of this world, yet we have to continue to live in the society that we are in!

The world must not influence us, because we are under the power of God’s Holy Spirit. We now should have no desires in our thinking, but the old nature will continue to tempt us to do a little here and there?

Many Christians attack or a Judgemental because we want to do what is right and to be do always trying to what is good, but this is what the bible teaches us to be like!

Romans 8:15-16,  2 Peter 3:14-17,  1 John 3:11.

‘Our round Tower!

Pentecost, living in the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

In the fullness of the Knowledge of God, that He is our round high tower. That He as taken division and pain from our hearts and set us free to be a people of building bridges.

That we live in the New Life in His final atonement for our sins, being empowered daily by the Holy Spirit?

It is when we put up barriers, make separation, cause division. We are in danger of quenching the Spirit of God.

Proverbs  18:10,  Isaiah 57:19b,  1 Peter 1:22-2:3.

The Holy Ghost/Spirit.

Only for belivers and not the world, Jesus promised his disciples would recieve power from on high to help them to preach the gospel message. From the day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit has been poured out on all believers.

We need Him to help us when we are weak and afraid to serve, to share, to give testimony. He intercedes for us in these times of troubles, when we do not know what to say.

John 11:25, 1 4:26,  Acts 2:33,  2 Corinthians 12:10,  Ephesians 6:18,  Hebrews 7:25.

Which First? Part-One.

Keeping Traditions or Faith in Jesus?

We as humans like to keep traditions, they make us feel good and easy. They are safe, because we have got to know them so well and they were part of what our ancestors have done and kept.

Traditions are also found in the Christian community, going to Church, taking the Lords table, Christmas and Easter, reading from a certain version of the bible, prayerbook and singing certain types of songs.

Faith on the other hand is trusting in what is not seen and its about risk, knowing that God will help us and change our lives, when we believe. It is also about the work of the Holy Spirit in us daily.

Matthew 5:27, 38, John 3:15-21, Hebrews 11:1.

Holy Spirit Promised. Part-One.

Empowerment.

As believers without the Holy Spirit we could do nothing, we would not be saved. It is the Holy Spirit in this New disspensation that leads us to greater things, in the application of our faith.

In the past it was poured out on individuals to serve the will of God, Abraham, Moses, David and many more. But now all believers recieve a share of Him, the Spirirt of God.

Acts 1:8,  2:4,  Romans 15:19.

Walking with the Holy Spirit. Part-One.

Living and Walking.

When we were once part of the world, we lived as the world did. We did not know or recognise God, as we do now.

So now that we do know God, as our Father and Jesus as our friend and Saviour we do not need to continue on as we once did.

We tend to forget that we too can walk with the Holy Spirit, who is the third person of the Trinity.

Romans 8:4-5,  Galations 5:15-16,  1 Peter 1:22,   Jude 1:19-21.
