Slaves to Sin!

Slaves to Righteousness?

Since we have repented and come to faith in Jesus, we are no longer living in the world by its standards but we have been set free to live in the righteousness of God?

Many believers today are turning away from the truth of everything, because they want to be themselves, they want God in their pocket!

But that is not how it works, we have been bought with the precious blood of Jesus and we must obey God, letting go of everything that would hold us back from being followers?

This is why we have a comforter, the Spirit of God who leads and helps us, when we cannot do it alone, or are struggling!

John 3:3,   14-18,   Acts 2:3-4,   Romans 3:22-23,   6:22-23,   Ephesians 6:10-18,   Revelation 2:2.

Evil Times?

We have been Warned!

Believers should realise by now that we are living in the last days, before the return of our Lord Jesus to take us home! The bible tells us that things are only going to get worse and that means more of everything that is bad?

But it also means that many believers will fall away into false teachings that oppose God, even the elected (Ministers, Priests, Vicars and Pastors) will too turn from the truth to follow things that displease the Lord!

Being selfish and lovers of themselves, indifferent and not having love of forgiveness but still appear as if they do?

2 Thessalonians 2:2-3,  John 14:27,  Matthew 7:15,  2 Peter 3:17.

Loved. Part-Two.

Show, not just Saying.

The world today has made the word love so cheap and easy to say, with very little meaning to it anymore? It has become all about self, what ‘I want, Me, love this and that and so on.

But we as believers by faith in God must try to be concerned and show care first for our own brothers and sisters, rather than make excuses.

Ruth 2:10,  18,  Psalm 34:14,   Acts 11:23,   Romans 12:9-10.

This is something to be considered on the eve of Saint Valentines day, tomorrow!

‘Christmas is coming. Part-Two.

Keeping Centred.

The centre of the Christmas story is Jesus, the perfect man born into human flesh. Born to a young virgin woman, who was in her year of betrothal to her husband. This is the way Jewish people still get married to their religious tradition. No sex before marriage.

Many people find it hard to accept the bible and the power of God manifest, but God allowed the Holy Spirit to overshadow Mary and in that miricale, the egg in her womb was fertilized and she concieved a perfect baby.  Luke 1:30-38, 35.

Mary was not the first woman in the bible to have a child, that came by the power of God. Sarah the wife of Abraham had Isaach in her old age. She was well beyond the age of human possible conception, then there was Hannah who beared Samuel from a desperate prayer to God.  Genesis 17:19, 21:1-3, 6-9,  1 Samuel 1:11,  17.

Today the world relies on science to prove God is wrong or we can do better than Him, we have Abortion and artificial insemination. A sort of give and take to suite our wants, but ultimately God is very much in control.
