Reconciliation. One.

Forgive and Forget.

Bitterness is a terrible condition to be in, when one is claiming to have a faith in God? Like racism and sectarianism, they block the power of the Holy Spirit working in our lives! Jesus was rejected first by His own people, but He has not given up on humans with all our flaws?

Jesus went to the cross/stake/tree for our sins, making that final atonement and rising from the dead so that we may have a New Life and overcome the sting of natural death!

Calvinism in some respects justifies sins, while in others it gives a belief that once saved will get us into heaven? But the bible is more complex and we need to understand it from the context that it was written in?

GENOCIDE. Part-Two.

Recording History.

It is easy for us to look back and perhaps find a new interpretation of certain events, while some like to prove the facts wrong. We must try not to twist recorded facts, unless we have solid proofs rather than hunches or our own ideas.

Revisionism today is big business it sells books and it is not just cover the Jewish Holocuast, but also many recent wars, genocides and mass killing conflicts.

It is when we start to say things like ‘Oh well you know them, they always whatever,’ that is the time for us to pull back. Steriotyping races means only one this anti- ism, racism, sectarianism and this is never Gods way.

Judges 12:6,  Matthew 26;73,  Mark 14:70.

Blinkers. Part-One.

A Limited Vision.

This post is not about horse racing, which I am sure will be a disappointment  to some? No this is about ‘Christian Revival in Ireland, which many ‘Christians do not believe has occurred since 1859.

This is because they have allowed themselves to become blinkered to the movement of God around them. There where Revivals in Ireland in 1928 and 1994, but very few established Christians saw this and reacted to it.

The reasons for this lack of belief, sadly is the bigotry that plagues Ireland as a nation and peoples. Sectarianism, seclusion and hatred has stopped the power of God. This does not mean that people are not getting saved, it is just not recognized as a move of the Holy Spirit.  Act 1:8, 1 Corinthians 3:16, Jude 19.
