Twenty-Nineteen?

What to Expect!

Going by the years that have gone past in our individual lives, about the same? We all do hope of better things, peace, prosperity, love, kindness and much more that is good and beneficial in many ways!

But we also have to face the many realities of life and that is of disasters and death, that must come to all of us eventually!

The New Year 2019 also brings us opportunities in relation to where we stand with God today in our lives, the possibility of New Things and also of Salvation in the full assurances that Jesus will forgive us and save us from our failings!

Leviticus 19:26,   John 4:23-24,   Acts 1:7,   Colossians 2:2-15,   1 Thessalonians 5:1,  Hebrews 11:5.

Yule.

Winter Celebrations.

Now enveloped into the New Year celebrations, but still marked by many northern-European countries from the 31st December to 3rd January each year with slightly diffrent names.

Russia calls it the winter frost and this is as close to the Santa tradition or their father frost arriving with childrens gifts, meanwhile the rest of.Europe has left us the one last hint of the Yule log Christmas cake.

Different religions and calanders all have there own New Years, but they help us to reflect on the year past and all that has occured in it, good and bad. Sometimes this is also good to reflect and consider all the good things that Jesus has done for us, even since the day we were saved.

Psalm 141:5,  Ecclesiastes 3:6,  Acts 10:34,  1 Peter 4:14.

Happy New Year.

Xmass. Part-Three.

Miracles.

It would seem that today science and psychology have replaced faith and miracles of the bible. People will run to anyone for help, but not to God?

This is not totally true, many shools have abanonded the ‘Nativity play and yet those same people would take a Christian stance against Islam.

Thousands of people across the world, even in Europe and N-America will give their lives to jesus this Christmas and New Year!

Will You?

Psalm 106:10,  John 3:17,  Acts 16:30,  1 Corinthians 10:33.

Which First? Part-Three.

Your Choice.

Even as believers we sometimes find ourselves slipping back into our old ways, but this should not be. We really have to make a crucial choice are we going to the ways of the world or are we going to continue to follow Jesus.

This is for each one of us to choose, salvation or damnation. There is no where in the bible the doctrine of once saved always saved, some clever people have twisted the scriptures to suit their own failur and try to justify sin.

God Does not.

Matthew 6:24,  Luke 16:13,  Revelation 3:15.

Celtic Saints. Part-Four.

Saint Patrick. March 17th.

Patrick probably has the place of honour in relation to being the spark that started the Celtic Church. He was the man who established Bangor Abbey in north county Down, which was to be a major center for outreach with the Gospel message to the west of Britain.

Patrick was always reluctant to be praised by men, because he knew what was their ultimate agenda. Patrick came to Ireland as a slave, but after escaping and returning he was blessed in leading the pagan Irish to Christianity in the north and west. So Ireland has been blessed in many ways over the last 1500 years because of the hard work of Patrick.

Today you can continue to share in that work, because God’s work to save the lost never ends. But one day it will at the end of the ages. So you need to know which side of eternity will you be on?   Matthew 19:17, 1 Corinthians 15:8-10, 1 Timothy 1:15-16, John 3:17, Luke 19:10.

Pentecost (50-Days). Part-One.

Jesus has now returned to heaven. Acts 1:8. and the promised Holy Spirit/Ghost is about to be poured out on the Disciples and followers of Jesus in the Temple courts in Jerusalem, Roman occupied Israel. John 7:39, John 14:16-17, 26, John 15:26, John 16:7.

The Holy Spirit/Ghost comes like a rushing wind and tongues of fire are seen falling on these men from Galilee. The Temple is full of Jews from all over the known world of the day, who have come to Jerusalem to celebrate the first harvest festival. Acts 2:1-17.

The prophecy of Joel is also fulfilled. Joel 2:28-32, Acts 2:17-21.

But this is now the beginnings of a new dispensation of the Way, the new congregation, which will later be known as the Church. The Holy Spirit/Ghost, Parakletos, comforter is only to be given to those who come to a personal faith in Jesus as the Son of God, crucified, resurrected from the dead and one day will return for them at the end of the age.

But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Joel 2:32.
