Arrogance?

Another year of banging the Drums!

Arrogance is a terrible sin and we can all be accused of practicing it, but when it becomes something of a historical excuse and a trap to change as it has with N-Ireland and Orangeism in light of the sad death of a young woman trying to make a career in journalism and political parties refusing to meet out of past bitterness we are in a serious situation!

This is a problem world-wide, but great opportunities are being missed to press on with the peace, now that Brexit has become more of a threat than it seems over the reestablishment of the border that no one wants, and London does not care about neither the U.S. President Trump who makes it up as he goes along?

Fruit and Fire!

Only for Born-Again Believers?

When we are saved, knowing that God has forgiven our past sins, because we believed that Jesus died on the cross and rose again on the third day making that one and final atonement for sins, we will have received the Holy Spirit as both a guarantee and seal of our Salvation!

The Holy Spirit is that flame or fire of passion that burns within us, wanting to share the Good News message with the world around us, friends and family! He gives us a passion and compassion for others, while also the gifts become available for us to develop in Love!

But last of all we are given the free choices to go with God’s flow or to refuse to do so and so we must face the consequences of these choices at the End of the Age?

Deliver us from Evil. One.

Satan and His Works.

Living in the world and practising our faith will quickly bring us into contact with the opposition forces of darkness?

But we are a redeemed people, bought back and covered by the blood of Jesus!

Because we know these things pertaining to our salvation and New Life, we must press on and not allow anything to try and knock us back.

Matthew 6:13,  Galatians 1:4,  1 John 3:8.

Believers and Christians. Two.

Stephen to Now!

Everyday believers in the death and resurrection of Jesus are being murdered, because they refuse to deny our Lord or recant of their trust in the Almighty, Eternal Father God!

Islam and many religions claim to know God, but their God is far away and requires war, conflict and blood of innocent people? This week we have seen more terror in Germany, in Iraq and in Syria with Christians being killed from a market to a Church!

We have one attribute over this enemy that is attacking us, and that is forgiviness which they do not have!

Luke 23:34,  Acts 7:60,  2 Corinthians 4:9,  Hebrews 10:33,  11:37.

Halloween. One.

A night for the Devil?

Based on north-European paganism, Halloween/All Hallows has become a time in the Christian calendar to remember that we believers have a daily adversary  who is out to get us at every cost, to take from us our assurance of trust in Jesus.

Satan, the Devil and His demonic host are as real, we see their handy work in the world everyday, terrorism, corruption, starvation, child abuse, intimidation, violence, gangs, criminal activity, murder, drugs and alcohol abuse?

But with Jesus we have the authority to rebuke the enemies attacks on us and he will flee, if we refuse to give into temptations!

Genesis 3:1-5,   Job 1:7-8,   Matthew 4:1-11,   2 Corinthians 11:14,   James 4:7.

Wickedness. Part-One,

Keeping Safe.

The world around us is full of wickedness, everyone tells lies like truth, even our own hearts want to sin it crouches waiting for the moment to enter our hearts and minds.

But we must resist it, refuse the temptations and say no to revenge and retaliation. Instead we must seek what is right and fare and always try to do our best to be good and avoid conflict.

Psalm 51:10,  73:12-18, Matthew 5:8,  Titus 3:5,  James 4:8.

‘Field of Poppies. Part-Two.

‘A time to Reflect.

This where we go wrong with any kind of Rememberance, we forget to reflect on the day. Reflectio is a great thing to do for anthing, because it allows us to see our mistakes and learn not to do them again?

Many armies do not reflect, because they do not want to destroy or reveal their failures. In all wars soldiers of any conflict are left scarred mentaly, without help. We hear and see what seems to be help, but this is usually for certain ranks.

War also leaves victums and many accusations, so it is better to talk afterwards to try an resolve things. Meanwhile the bible has much to say on the matter of remembering, so let us reflect on His words to help us push on.

Job 4:3,  14:13,   Psalm 25:7,   37:25,    Matthew 19:27,   Mark 14:9,   Luke 17:32,   John 15:28,  Hebrews 10:17.
