Being lifted Up. One.

Encouraged to Persevere?

One can not say that to have faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus will make us friends of the world? We may be called to serve in the world, but we must never think that Gods ways will be tolerated by the lost!

Everyday Christians are under strains from the daily pressures of life and this can be the same wither we are married, single of celibate. At times it can become unbearable, that we give in and compromise, but thank God we can repent and ask for Jesus forgiveness and get back on track once more!

As believers we have a Spiritual armoury, not of weapons that world uses to kill each other, but to counter all those arguments, questions, jeering and rejection that the world throws at us in their attempt to undermine the power of God!

2 Corinthians 10:4-7,   Job 5:11,   Psalm 138:6,   Romans 12:2,   Philippians 2:1.

Reconciliation. Part-Two.

Back to God.

Jesus death and resurrection is the divine reconciliation between humanity God, this is achieved by placing our faith in the Good Works of Jesus and not based on our own deeds!

It is Jesus who has taken the worlds sin upon His own body, He is the one who is Eternally marred for us. If we choose to turn from our failure and admit, God will forgive us! But we must not return again to what we were, but we must move on in personal relationship with Him.

In so doing we are reconciled back to God again and in Him will find daily strength to push on with the problems of life.

Ephesians 2:16,   Colossians 1:22,  2 Timothy 4:18.

Religion. Part-One.

Guidance and a Compass.

Most people today live in a state of going from A to B/Z hoping for the best, but they quickly end up being dissapointed in wht they are trying to do!

We so do need to have God in our lives, religion offers the security of keeping rules and regulations and it is fixed.

But faith in Jesus sets us free from these regulations and rules and gives us access to trust and hope for the better.

Ruth 1:12,  Job 4:6,  Psalm 38:15,  Romans 5:2,  Ephesians 2:12,  Hebrews 10:23.

Loved. Part-One.

God Loved Us.

Some people find it hard to believe that God can love us and why would He not?

We are His creation and God has proved this love constantly through human history from Noah and the great flood to the Exodus of Israel from Egypt and His suffering servant to this present day.  Genesis 6:8-9:17, John 3:15-17, Hebrews 11:1-40.

God loves us, but he does not love our sin and this is perhaps the problem for many people who want to continue in their Sin.  Romans 5:12, 6;23, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 3:10, 6:7-8.

Being Single. Part-Two.

Not when Married.

It would be wrong to think that when we are married we can try to be single, this would make the partnership of two break and that is not the will of God. God does not want to split couples up or to strain relationships, the problems of living our daily lives does enough of that already.

If you are single stay that way, unless you fall in love then you will have the condideration of getting married. With the Apostle Paul both are viable alternatives. So no matter which way you choose to go, you will still be doing the right thin.

1 Corinthians 7:11, 34.

Spreading Out. Part-Two.

We have work to Do.

Our Testimony may not seem much to us, but to a lost world and the societies around us it is a God send. All kinds of people today around us are living in despair and darkness and many want answers to what ‘is life all about?

Jesus is the only answer and we who believe in Him should know this and want to share it with the outsiders. Witnessing ones faith is easy, we can talk about what God does for us every day in the simplest of things.

John 4:23,  Acts 26:18,  Colossians 1:6.

Myths and Fables. Part-Three.

The Bible is not a book of fables, but of truth. 2 Peter 1:16.

It is a book that continually warns the believer not to get caught up in neither stories, fables, legends, but to avoid them at all cost.  Why? Because they lead to rows and ensnare people into traps that are not of God. Joshua 23:7, Titus 1:14, 2 Timothy 4:3.

If we profess to believe and love the Lord Jesus as his followers, we do not want to put others off from coming to him, by putting obstacles in the way of His good news message.
