Mission. Part-One.

Past and Present.

We tend to think that this is not for our place, but going off to another land to share the ‘Christian Faith?’ After the events mentioned in Acts chapter two the Good News message of Jesus spread out then to the known Greek, Persian and Roman world, which in itself was quite big.

Many of those early believers paid with their lives within the Roman Empire for at least 300-years, being fed to the lions! But this message of Jesus death for the forgiveness of sins and His resurrection from the dead did not die away but continued to grow!

Africa and Britain saw the first believers arriving from 34AD to the influx by 126AD, but it is not known when the first buildings were erected for meetings came about?

Matthew 28:19-20,  Mark 16:15-16,  Luke 24:47-48,  Acts 1:8,  Romans 10:18,  Colossians 1:23.

Belivers and Christians. One.

In the Middle-East and North-Africa.

One noticed this past week the murder of Christians in Egypt by unknown Islamic terrorists and the failure to report these events in many Catholic European countries?

It was sad to see that the historical disunity continues over demoniational politics, between the Roman Church and the earlier Christian communites was still in bitter effect of minor doctrines?

No one really knows the heart of another and this is the same with believers, many of us will be suprised in Heaven to see who made it and did not? This is supposed to be the season of, ‘Peace and Good will than let us put our faith into deeds of kindness and mercy and throuugh it entertain Jesus Himself?

Matthew 22:14,   25:36-44,  Luke 2:15-20,  James 2:18-22.

Endurance. Part-One.

Believers under Attack.

This is nothing new, but it is new in Europe, Australasia and the United States along with many other established Christian countries across the world. We are under attack from Liberalism, Humanistic agendas and the so called Equal-Rights movements.

You perhaps know where this is starting to lead, but avoiding these major issues we are being attacked just for believing in God. The bible tells us that as quality Christians we have to endure pressing on to the goal and the promised prize.

1 Peter 2:19-23,   Ephesians 5:2,   Philippians 2:5.

Holocaust Denial. Part-Two.

‘Hiding behind Immigration.’

We must be informed and aware of the rise of the right-wing in Europe today, because of economic decline and issues covering free movement within the union of countries. Politicians have made a name and reputation for themselves in recent years of being habitual liars.  1 John 2:22,  4:3.

We have to learn from our own past historical events of persecution, occuapation and were we stood in 1939. The Holocuast and mass extermination of the Jews in Europe has been followed by Bosnis and Kosovo. Meanwhile Turkey carried out its own Genocide in 1900 against the Armenian Christians.  Exodus 23:8,   Psalm 26:9-10.

World history moves on and the sin of humanity, which is inherited will also continue. It is only our own call on Jesus and our own repentance that will save us, with the hope of a New life and attitudes to Eternity.  Matthew 12:21,  Luke 6:34,  2 Corinthians 1:7, Galatians 5:5,  Titus 2:13,   Hebrews 6:18-19.

Pentecost.

Power and Fire.

Ten days after Jesus has ascended back into heaven, the Holy Spirit/Ghost was poured out on the disciples and followers of Jesus as promised in the Temple are of Jerusalem. Act 2, Joel 2:28-32.

This power from God the Father was to empower believers from there on to be strong and have the ability to preach, serve and share the Gospel message. Paraclete, comforter, one who comes beside in the believers hour of need. As we see when we read the book of Act’s, the believers were severely persecuted for their faith. Act 4:13-31.

From early Church history we know that thousands of Christians died at the hands of the Roman empire. Many went to the lions without fear. Ephesians 6:10-17, Colossians 1:10-12,
