Papal Visit! One.

What is Expected?

Many people in Ireland are hoping that during this Papal visit the first since 1979, the new Pope will apologise for all the hurt and pain of what Nuns, monks and priests have done over the years in the various sexual scandals to have rocked the country?

But if one knows the Roman Catholic Church, one should know that everything moves very slowly and it is unlikely this Pope like any other will not have much to say!

People in Ireland have moved on into what is described as a modern society, but the reality for the many who believe the nation is now on the verge of paganism and hostile to the Christian faith?

Salvation only comes through faith in Jesus as the Son of God who died once for our failures, priest, man, pope cannot save us! Only by confession, repentance and faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus will we have the full assurance of Eternal Life!

Job 30:25,  Proverbs 23:29,   Jeremiah 8:6,   Malachi 3:14,   Mark 3:5,   Luke 5:32,  Romans 2:4.

Faith always wins Through!

Over Traditionalism?

We hear much about the Christian religion in the media, but we don’t get to hear of the good things that are happening around the world and all over the place?

New things, God moving changing lives, wars ending, people talking, trying to make peace, new schools, hospitals, pumps for water in deserts and much more!

What God really wants is for His believers to keep living by faith and not caught up in the deadness of ritualism and traditions!

Psalm 36:3,   Acts 10:38,   Ephesians 6:7,   1 Peter 2:15,   20,   3:6.

Finding comfort in the Bible. Part-Three.

Knowing God.

The world claims that it wants to find peace, this is the solution to all of humanities problems? But the more it claims peace, the more it does war? We often hear people in the Middle-East and Africa say, ”That they are a peace loving people, and tomorrow they chop off the heads of their prisoners in the name of God?

When we come to know God, through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, we have been set free from legalism and idolatry into a New Life relationship! And now that we are in this New place, we understand by the Power of the Holy Ghost/Spirit within us that we have a peace and a hope that the world can never have because of their open rebellion and rejection of God!

John 14:27,  Isaiah 9:6,  Romans 15:13,  1 Corinthians 13:13,  Philippians 4:7.

NO GOD?

Foolishness.

Many people today trust in things, sex, material goods, property, land, pets, but they claim no faith or beliefe in God?

There are many who claim to know God, they do good deeds and works, they are pious and religious and they try to be good living.

There is a God, who we remember every Christmas and Easter, that sent His one and only son to bring us back by His sacrifice for our failure into relationship with the Father.

Proverbs 1:7,  22,  Amos 5:4,  Matthew 3:2,  Mark 9:31,  Luke 13:32,  Acts 4;12,  2 Corinthians 6:2.

Holocuast unbelievers. Part-Three.

Black people.

There is sadly as many people today in Europe and N-America who think that black people are not fully human, many of their ideas stem from 19th Century Eugenics. There are various terms used to cover these root factors such as racism and intitutionalism, but the truth is much bare.

Black people have had it hard in white society for the last 600 years, but Jewish people have suffered under black people and other nations for the last 4000 years. The problem is really the sinfulness of the human heart in relation to jealousy and pride and if we say we have faith in God we need to be rid of these ideas.

Exodus 6:6-8,    Judges 12:6,    1 John 1:7-10.

The Plague. Part-One.

Ebola.

This west-African plague is now hitting the western media with caution, after 4000 thousand people have died and up to three times that number infected or under watch.

The United States has been the first to send aid, the U.K. and Europe is to follow but is it enough or is it well out of control?

The bible talks about many plagues in the past for committing deliberate sins and in the future for refusing to recognise God. We must not judge Africa, but rather look at our own nations first and our reaction to God’s laws!

Exodus 7:14-25, 1 Samuel 6:4-5, Revelation 15:1, 22:18-19.

Holy Spirit Promised. Part-Two.

Poured Out.

What a people are we, who have been filled with the power of God to do His will. Many Christians speand alot of time making excuses, but if yuo are born-again one cannot stop sharing what Jesus has done for us.

As the hymn ‘Amazing Grace says ‘I once was lost, but now I have been found.’

Acts 4:12,  Ephesians 3:20,  Colossians 1:23,  Hebrews 7:25,  Jude 1:24.
