Called Too? Two.

Persevere!

This is an old fashioned word that appears not to be much in circulation today, yet it is a very active word for all believers to refuse the ways and the things of the world?

The world is telling us today that we deserve our freedoms to everything we want, and many believers are falling for this lie? Instead of persevering and refusing they are accepting and opening themselves up to evil!

God expects us to be obedient to Him and to the cost of Jesus shedding His blood on the cross/stake/tree for us!. Even before the cross Jesus’ back was like a ploughed field, this atonement is very precious indeed but many today either refuse to see or throw it away for temporary pleasures?

Genesis 32:24-28,  1 Kings 8:52-58,  Mark 14:38,   Ephesians 6:18,   1 Peter 2:24,   1 John 3:7.

For God loved….His. One.

He gave us His one and only Son.

This is the crux of the Christian message of hope and Eternity by believing in the death and resurrection of Jesus. God seeks each of us to have a personal relationship with Him, through His son Jesus and not any other way!

There is no mention in the New Testament of praying to Mary to intercede for us, in fact the New Testament makes it very clear that now Jesus has been revealed to the world He is our Intercessor!

In the Old Testament the Prophets had this prominent roles and many Christians misunderstand the scriptures to their peril. We are commanded to pray for each other and there are times that burdens may be carried, but we must not think we can side-line Jesus.

John 3:15-18,  Romans 8:15-16,  1 Timothy 2:1-2,  James 5:14-20.

Partakers. Two.

Who we Are!

We who claim faith in Jesus are no longer of the things of this world, yet we have to continue to live in the society that we are in!

The world must not influence us, because we are under the power of God’s Holy Spirit. We now should have no desires in our thinking, but the old nature will continue to tempt us to do a little here and there?

Many Christians attack or a Judgemental because we want to do what is right and to be do always trying to what is good, but this is what the bible teaches us to be like!

Romans 8:15-16,  2 Peter 3:14-17,  1 John 3:11.

He has Arisen. Part-One.

Leadership.

On the third day, as he had promised Jesus arose from the dead. He had conqured death and this is how we who have faith are set free from the curse that death is.

Matthew 17:22, Mark 9:30-31, Luke 24:6-7.

We tend to sometimes overlook the account of Peter thinking that this was just his restoration to be forgiven and continue in following, but this has more to do with leadership qualities.

Being a Christian, means that we may be asked to take on some responsibility in our fellowship, from making the tea, to teaching in the Sunday school, youth work or just visiting the older folks.

John 21:15-17.
