Mission. Part-Two.

Irelands Great Legacy.

From 500AD the Celtic Church expanded dramatically over the next one-hundred years after the death of Saint Patrick, reaching most of western Britain, Scandinavia and northern Germany? No one truly knows how far the Celtic Church progressed in the 450 years prior to the Norman invasion of the geographical British Isles?

One will always find fault with Christians in relation to temptation and sin, because people expect us to be perfect? Failure is seen as a smug comfort to the lost, but on the day of judgement there will be many regrets?

Today Ireland and the Celtic Church is still operating and sending out men and woman across the world to help those in need, much of this is not reported in the media because it is to occupied with senseless death?

Matthew 1:14,   Acts 14:7,   Romans 16:25,   1 Peter 4:17.

Conduct. One.

Not what we once Were!

When we have come to know Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, there has to be a change in our mental attitudes? We are no longer the person we were, but now are more centred on God and following our Lord!

The Apostle Paul speaks to the early Churches about the need to keep their conduct pure or clean in Christ, we must not look back and act the way we were? Sadly today there are many who encompass themselves in Church activity and in the process loose sight of Jesus and what is expected of us by Jesus?

Colossians 3:1-25,  Romans 12:1-2,  Hebrews 10:26-29,  32-38.

Pentecost (50-Days). Part-One.

Jesus has now returned to heaven. Acts 1:8. and the promised Holy Spirit/Ghost is about to be poured out on the Disciples and followers of Jesus in the Temple courts in Jerusalem, Roman occupied Israel. John 7:39, John 14:16-17, 26, John 15:26, John 16:7.

The Holy Spirit/Ghost comes like a rushing wind and tongues of fire are seen falling on these men from Galilee. The Temple is full of Jews from all over the known world of the day, who have come to Jerusalem to celebrate the first harvest festival. Acts 2:1-17.

The prophecy of Joel is also fulfilled. Joel 2:28-32, Acts 2:17-21.

But this is now the beginnings of a new dispensation of the Way, the new congregation, which will later be known as the Church. The Holy Spirit/Ghost, Parakletos, comforter is only to be given to those who come to a personal faith in Jesus as the Son of God, crucified, resurrected from the dead and one day will return for them at the end of the age.

But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Joel 2:32.
