2016 ‘Another Year.’

‘Happy New Year.’

We all want to see and are expecting somethings to be better this year, better in many ways than the last and this is natural for all of us!

But we also know that despite the many good things that will come our way, there are also many bad because that is how the world and our life cycle works.

It is easy to write these words and to make many written statements, but when one has lived life and faced the everyday sadness in reflection one knows many things.

Perhaps this year will be the one that reflects on ones own standing in relation to all around us and sees the need of Jesus as a friend, helper and the Lord of our New Life in Him?

Matthew 11:28-30,   Luke 11:9-13,  1 Peter 3:8.

Resoloutions.

False Promises.

This is the time of the year when we will try to make promises, that we call ‘resoloutions.’ Many of us who do such things know that we will never complete them. We do it now almost like a tradition.

I hope this is not how you have set your relationship, your walk with God. Yes ‘I have repented, but what the heck I will carry on living the way I was.’

Even today there are many ‘Churches who have abandoned repentence and shunning the Devil, Why? Perhaps they want us in their Apostate nature to forgive and allow those who sexualiy abuse children, who are financialy dishonest, who have sex men with men and women with women to be accepted and not prosecuted.

Genesis 6:5,   Exodus 22:13,  27,   James 2:6-7,   Revelation 3:17.

Bru na Boinne, New Grange. Part-Two.

Many people throughout the island of Ireland in recent years have been drawn to various forms of Druidism, Wicca, New Age and Satanism/Witchcraft, because these older thoughts of religious experience are non Sectarian. After 40 years of conflict in N-Ireland, which did spill over the border (Monaghan and Dublin bomb attacks), people have sought refuge in paganism. but many have found that to be as divided as ‘Christianity’.

What real Christian belief is about, is a new life experience in Jesus the Son of God. It is about a change of heart, walking and living in a new way to obey and please God. It is a two way relationship. It is not based on traditions and ceremonies, but on faith and action daily. It is about seeing that we are all failures and that we need God to help us get through life, always trying our best to do what is good, true and right.

Ephesians 4:22-25, Romans 15:3-4, Titus 3:3-7,  Galatians 5:19-24.

Myth and Fables. Part-Two.

As we have seen Myths, Fables, Legends are all good stories, either extended lies or exaggerated truths.

Today many people believe that the Bible is a book of fables too, but the reality is that it is the only book that tells us about human life, conduct, condition and failure along with our desperate need of God to help us get out of and set us free from ourselves. Genesis Chapter 3.

The bible warns us that we must not rely on fables to guide us in our lives, but rather hear what God, through His son Jesus is saying to us and obey him. 1 Timothy 1:4, 4:7.
