‘I Have a Dream!

Martin Luther King and Bloody Sunday?

It is ironic that the words of this North-American civil rights preacher would lead to the rights of Catholics in Ireland and the eventual tragedy of ‘Bloody Sunday?

Martin Luther Kings words still and will continue to have impact around the world until the Lords return, for every oppressed peoples and cultures! Crossing racial, colour and cultural backgrounds and inspiring much needed freedom in this world!

Much can be said about his failings, well the Holy Bible tells us that we are all sinners! So stop pointing fingers in your self proclaimed righteousness and try Jesus today, while also seeking to help all who are oppressed in society and culture!

Papal Visit? Two.

Low Turnout!

Was it the weather or the failed visit to Northern-Ireland that thwarted this second visit by a Pope to Ireland?

Many people were very disappointed that he could not go to the North, after Ireland had to submit to the Queen of England coming to the Republic to please the other side?

Perhaps the truth was much more with the current trends in society and also his failure to seriously speak out on the abuse in the Church and what he was going to do about it!

Sadly the truth is that many Catholics today live with the world and so does this Pope, who has made some startling claims, which are contradictory to Biblical teaching such as the forgiveness of Judas and that he does not believe in Hell?

Matthew 10:28,   Romans 8:34,   Hebrews 10:12.

Bru na Boinne, New Grange. Part-Two.

Many people throughout the island of Ireland in recent years have been drawn to various forms of Druidism, Wicca, New Age and Satanism/Witchcraft, because these older thoughts of religious experience are non Sectarian. After 40 years of conflict in N-Ireland, which did spill over the border (Monaghan and Dublin bomb attacks), people have sought refuge in paganism. but many have found that to be as divided as ‘Christianity’.

What real Christian belief is about, is a new life experience in Jesus the Son of God. It is about a change of heart, walking and living in a new way to obey and please God. It is a two way relationship. It is not based on traditions and ceremonies, but on faith and action daily. It is about seeing that we are all failures and that we need God to help us get through life, always trying our best to do what is good, true and right.
