Resurrection Power.

Rising with Jesus.

it is said that not many ‘Christians today believe that Jesus actually rose from the dead, but if He did not then we cannot claim a faith-trust in Him and thus we have no promise of eternal salvation?

Jesus did rise and was seen by over 500 people, apart from His Disciples over the forty-day period until His Ascension back to Heaven! Baptism allows us the example of Jesus rising from the grave, but child baptism has no power because we are not at that time conscience of our sins?

It is only later on when we develop that we start to see our failures and if we repent and turn to God, believers baptism will be of great value to both us and all who witness our conversion-born again transformation!

Finding comfort in the Bible. Part-Three.

Knowing God.

The world claims that it wants to find peace, this is the solution to all of humanities problems? But the more it claims peace, the more it does war? We often hear people in the Middle-East and Africa say, ”That they are a peace loving people, and tomorrow they chop off the heads of their prisoners in the name of God?

When we come to know God, through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, we have been set free from legalism and idolatry into a New Life relationship! And now that we are in this New place, we understand by the Power of the Holy Ghost/Spirit within us that we have a peace and a hope that the world can never have because of their open rebellion and rejection of God!

John 14:27,  Isaiah 9:6,  Romans 15:13,  1 Corinthians 13:13,  Philippians 4:7.

Finding comfort in the Bible. Two.

Salvation.

Our need to be in fellowship with God, because most of the world is running around like headless chickens at this time? People are rushing here and there and everywhere and most of the time they are stuck in their mobile devices talking to people they do not know about nothing of any value?

Many people everyday are turning to God of the Holy Bible, out of despair, fear, and mental exhaustion? They want answers to what is this life all about?, Why am I here? and a list in a similar vain continues.

Becoming a Christian is a different experience for each one of us! Some where going along wondering about God, but not really interested and we were chosen! Others sought and found Him in Church, listening to TV or Radio? But all of us had to submit to His will by facing up to our failures and confessing to Jesus?

For God so loved…His. Two.

A New start for Us?

God gave us His one and only Son Jesus to take our places in the redemption of sins. God has chosen us for Eternal life, not because we deserve it from anything that we have done, but rather from His mercy on our failures.

Many people make quick choices in relation to becoming Christians, others think that by being good and living a right way in their own eyes they will get into Heaven? But this not the case, as with the man in wrong clothes at the wedding supper found out.

We all have to bow in admission of our failure to Jesus, asking His forgiveness and mercy on us and promising to have a mental change of attitudes not continuing or returning to what we were.

1 Peter 3:18.

‘Our round Tower!

Pentecost, living in the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

In the fullness of the Knowledge of God, that He is our round high tower. That He as taken division and pain from our hearts and set us free to be a people of building bridges.

That we live in the New Life in His final atonement for our sins, being empowered daily by the Holy Spirit?

It is when we put up barriers, make separation, cause division. We are in danger of quenching the Spirit of God.

Proverbs  18:10,  Isaiah 57:19b,  1 Peter 1:22-2:3.

Easter. Part-One.

Death.

The many traditions that have grown up around this time of the year are associated with New Life, flowers, bunnies and eggs. Life is indeed the outcome, but it was of death first and these symbols have nothing much to do with the reality of these middle-eastern events.

Jesus had to die on the tree of cursing, so that His death as the Passover Lamb all who believed in Him would come to a knowledge of Salvation and enter into relationship with God once more through the final atonement.

2 Corinthians 6:2,  Isaiah 49:8,   Matthew 26:26-28,   Acts 2:23,   1 Corinthians 5:8,   Hebrews 3:15.

Being Single. Part-Two.

Not when Married.

It would be wrong to think that when we are married we can try to be single, this would make the partnership of two break and that is not the will of God. God does not want to split couples up or to strain relationships, the problems of living our daily lives does enough of that already.

If you are single stay that way, unless you fall in love then you will have the condideration of getting married. With the Apostle Paul both are viable alternatives. So no matter which way you choose to go, you will still be doing the right thin.

1 Corinthians 7:11, 34.
