Refugees. Two.

1845 to 2016.

Millions left Ireland, as they have many other lands to flee faminine and other economic disasters, but at the same time many have come to Ireland to find the hospitality of the Irish and feel let down?

We will always have refuugees of one kind or another, some will be dishonest while others true? This is the same for all humans, because of inherited sin, when we start to thinkl we are better than the rest then we have really misunderstood what God’s love, mery and forgiviness is all about?

Revenge. Part-Two.

Give your anger to God.

The one great lesson that I have learned as a believer in Jesus and it was given to me by older Christians, as a young man ‘That was best to leave it with God.’

‘Don’t worry about them, God knows everything and he is the best to deal with it, not you spoiling your walk and witness of New Life in Jesus.’

It is hard for us to see the outcome of things and in our natural order we so much want to take action, But Jesus will help us and our Father will deal with all who hurt or attack us.

Psalm 94:1,  Romans 12:19.

Revenge. Part-One.

Human Nature.

When we are angered, when we see people, family, friends the natural kicks in and we want to take revenge. The world is full of terror and murder, revenge in Mexico, Italy by gangsters. The Middle-East and Africa by terrorists and what is termed militants.

Being a believer in Jesus we are warned this is not for us, God will avenge for us and he will do a better job at it. If we do slip we will open ourselves up to problems, problems that will not leave us alone.

Proverbs 17:13,  Psalm 35:12,  Proverbs 13:21,  Hebrews 10:30.

Which First? Part-Two.

Customs or Walking with God?

There are many traditions that we have grown up with, that are good and sounding right to us. But now that we have become believers in Jesus, we must follow His ways and leave behind the past.

God’s ways are much better than anything we had before and what we are gaining now leads on to more precious and Eternal things.

Jeremiah 10:3, Acts 26:3, Galatians 1:14,  Ephesians 6:10-17.

Ascension. Part-One.

Time to leave.

Jesus had been on the earth for forty days after his resurrection from the dead and had been seen by over five hundred people and his disciples. But it was now time for him to return to the father. He had to go, because only by his going could the promised Holy Spirit be poured out on the new believers and the new dispensation of the Way.

Mark 16:19-20,  Luke 24:50-53,  Act 1:9-11.
