God with Us? Part-One.

Root of David!

The account of the shepherds out in the fields being visited by the heavenly host is a lovely account of the grace and mercy of our God! But why did he appear to these men, well that should be obvious, since the ancestor of Jesus was King David who started out life as a shepherd boy?

Jesus later would refer to Himself as , ‘I Am the good shepherd!

This theme of shepherding sheep literally and also Spiritually in the sense of leadership and responsibility is one to be heeded, since many today look after themselves first!

God is warning us who are in this role to end it, because we will at the end have to give an account of our actions to Him!

1 Kings 17:34,  Ezekiel 34:5-23,  Matthew 1:23,  12:36,  Luke 1:27,  2:8-20,  John 10:11,  14, Romans 14:12,  1 Peter 4:5.

He has Arisen. Part-One.

Leadership.

On the third day, as he had promised Jesus arose from the dead. He had conqured death and this is how we who have faith are set free from the curse that death is.

Matthew 17:22, Mark 9:30-31, Luke 24:6-7.

We tend to sometimes overlook the account of Peter thinking that this was just his restoration to be forgiven and continue in following, but this has more to do with leadership qualities.

Being a Christian, means that we may be asked to take on some responsibility in our fellowship, from making the tea, to teaching in the Sunday school, youth work or just visiting the older folks.

John 21:15-17.

Blinkers. Part-Two.

Revival in England, Wales and Scotland.

When? They say that there has been no revival in Wales since 1904, England 1927 and Scotland 1849.” But this is not true, there have been more than one major out pouring of the Holy Spirit in each of these lands, but the majority of ‘Christians have refused to either see it or believe it.

It is not a Sectarian problem in the UK, it is a doctrinal problem. Belief in Doctrines, rather than the scriptures. The main doctrine of contention is replacement theology, the denial that God still loves His people Israel and their dispensation is separate from the Church.

The other is the acceptance of antinomianism, or the allowance of sin. This is why Homosexuality is accepted by many Christians, because it is no longer seen as a Sin.

So where are these ‘Revivals? 1924-27 in South-Wales, 1970 to 1991 in England and 1990 to 2007 in Scotland.   2 Chronicles 7:14,  James 4:9-10.
