Halloween. One.

A night for the Devil?

Based on north-European paganism, Halloween/All Hallows has become a time in the Christian calendar to remember that we believers have a daily adversary  who is out to get us at every cost, to take from us our assurance of trust in Jesus.

Satan, the Devil and His demonic host are as real, we see their handy work in the world everyday, terrorism, corruption, starvation, child abuse, intimidation, violence, gangs, criminal activity, murder, drugs and alcohol abuse?

But with Jesus we have the authority to rebuke the enemies attacks on us and he will flee, if we refuse to give into temptations!

Peace Processes. Part-Two.

All Hallows/Halloween.

Many today in N-Ireland have found common ground in the strained, but ongoing peace process. One festival that has been seen as a good place to share in is Halloween, this pagan festival can be shared by both Christian traditions. But their differences do remain for the rest of the year, because established traditions that their fear is stopping them from letting go.

This month has seen a rise of knife terrorism in Israel between the Palestinains and israelis, many innocent people have died on bothsides. Meanwhile the P.A. leadership have tried to justify themselves as the victums, this is nothing new under the sun we see it very much in relation to the Welsh towards the English who are seen as always persecuting them.

All of these cases are really related to human sin and how Adam made a list of excuses to God about it was eves fault he ate that apple. But why did he fall into the same trap as her, because he knew as much as she did?

Evil and Wickedness. Part-Two.

Curses and Witchcraft.

Halloween is big business, across Ireland, Britain and N-America for the 31st October. Many people enjoy the holiday without taking into consideration what it is all really about and the darker elements of it.

Many Christians do not want to make us fuss about it, let the world enjoy and its not a big deal. In N-Ireland it has united cross communities. And yet this is a Satanic event that will be marked not by Christian activities, but by cursing and celebrating death.

Jesus says ‘that if we want to follow him and live the new birth and life, we must walk in His light.  Psalm 26:9-10,  Isaiah 8:19, John 8:12,  1 John 1:7-10, 1 John 3:8.
