Precious and Invaluable!

What we have been Given?

This a great time of the year to reflect on what God has done for us, between the Easter resurrection, the Ascension of Jesus and the coming of the Holy Spirit to those first believers gathered in Jerusalem for Pentecost!

We must consider that faith we have to believe the invisible and the impossible has been imparted to us through the ‘Good Works of Jesus and that we also have our belief which is invaluable more than anything this world can give to us.

Jesus said it to Satan during His time of temptation in the wilderness by Satan and this was written for us to in the society that we live in and face today. We must hold on and maintain what we have, while also sharing the love of Jesus that is in our hearts will all and those less fortunate in the world?

Matthew 4:1-1,  13:46,   1 Corinthians 3:15,   James 5:7,   1 Peter 1:7,  19,   2 Peter 1:1,  4.

Preparation’s for Christmas?

Black Friday to Christmas Eve!

The mad rush now for the Christmas season has began with American style hype over their sales? But this is more than the season of merriment, it is also the time for scammers to be at work online for those unsuspecting bargain hunters?

In this mad rush and as the days near what is now termed the holidays, it seems each year the world looses sight of what this season is really about? Cards, trees, Santa, snowmen, are all slowly replacing, the baby Jesus born of the virgin, the wise men, shepherds and the truth of God giving to us the free gift of His one and only Son Jesus!

Isaiah 9:6-7,    Matthew 1:23,    Luke  1:27,    2 Corinthians 11:2.

Xmass. Part-Four.

Wanting to Praise.

Jesus birth was not a limited event, it was not by special membership or you had to get your ticket. Jesus was born in a stable full of animals and He was laid in a animal feeder.

The first to see Him where those nosey gossiping shepherds, then He was taken to the Temple on the eight day to be circumcised, because He was Jewish. One year later the wisemen or Magi from Persia arrived to see this special child, a little one year-old boy.

What did they all have in common, they were glad to see His coming and they worshipped and praised Him.

Matthew 1-2, Luke 1-2.

Mary. Part-Three.

After the birth of Jesus, Mary and Joseph are told by the Angel to flee to Egypt. Traditionally we see the images of Mary on the donkey. but the reality is that only men rode donkeys, Mary would of followed on foot behind. Matthew 2:13-23.

These events occurred after the wise men had visited the Lord and presented their gifts from the east to Him. Jesus was a one year-old child by now. Matthew 2:1-12.
