Halloween. Two.

Authority over the Enemy.

All Hallows is the traditional time to point out that God has more power over the darkness, demonic, evil and wickedness in this world! It is also a time of dressing up and having fun with our children?

For believers we are reminded of the struggles that we face everyday and we see and know that God through the Holy Spirit has given us the authority to rebuke the Devil, knowing that he will flee from us.

Gods love for this world can only truly be found in His one and only son Jesus, who went of His own choice to the cross to die for our failures! His resurrection from the grave made the victory of taking away the sting of death! The world fears many things, but there is no fear in Love, in Jesus love.

Remembrance Sunday.

The World and the Church.

Many people will gather to rember their fallen this weekend from the British and Commonwealth armed forces from the great war (1914-18) to the present conflicts. These gatherings can have so many meanings for so many people from victory over an enemy to occupation and oppression.

For the believer every Sunday is a remembrance day of what Jesus has done for us! We press on in everyday battles, with our enemy the Devil who does not rest from attacking the Saints.

The 11th of November is a very emotive day in Ireland, becuse of the long British occupation and als the various conflicts following Independance. From the establishment of Northern-Ireland in 1922, this state used ‘remebrance and many other dates for political gain and suppression of Roman Catholics,

Prior to the divison of Ireland many Irish people served the British Crown and they died in conflicts around the world, but it was not until the second world war that changes occured into the status of a common enemy ‘Nazi Germany.

There are times when we need to put aside our differences to fight evil in the form of anti-Christian forces. Today this is once more a previlant factor in Europe. The Bible is a book full of wars and strifes between Gods people Israel and pagan nations, who practiced moral filth.  Joshua – 2 Chronicles,   Ephesians 6:10-18.
