Crossroads. Two.

Living in the power of the Resurrection?

There are some people who believe or claim a faith in Jesus, but they fail to fathom the rising of Jesus the man from the grave?

This a serious flaw in the Christian faith, like that of denying that a loving God would send people to Hell! But without faith in the resurrection of Jesus, we cannot enter into the promised New Life!

All who witnessed Jesus rising from the dead where changed people, their faith was made full and they were empowered to press on believing, applying Jesus teaching and serving God!

John 11:24-24,  Acts 1:22,  4:33,  Romans 1:4,  6:5,  1 Corinthians 15:12-13,  Colossians 1:13, 1 Peter 1:23.

Walking with the Holy Spirit. Part-Three.

An Empowered People.

If we are true believers in the death and resurrection of Jesus, we will have been touched by God. We who are living by faith and have the assurance of Salvation, will be empowered by the Holy Spirit of God to serve Him.

Being a Christian is not about laying back and waiting for our day on ‘Cloud nine.’ It is about becoming active in some way, as we prepare for Glory. Heaven is not a place of rest as we understand it now to be, but rather a place of Eternal praise to God, Our Father and His Son Jesus, who is our friend and Savior.

Acts 4:31,  Romans 9:1,  1 Corinthians 14:1,  1 Thessalonians 1:6,  Hebrews 10:15,  1 Peter 1:12,  Revelation 21:10.

Ascension. Part-Two.

Promised Holy Spirit.

Jesus had to leave, but He will return one day for all who have placed their faith and trust in Him. Jesus told his followers to go and wait in Jerusalem for the promised Holy Spirit to be poured out so that the believers could be empowered to serve God. Mark 16:19-20.

This they did and these tremendous events happened. Today the ‘Church/Ekklesia is the largest religious movement on the planet, but then it was a very small group of Jews and a couple of Gentiles. All followed the Jewish Messiah of Israel, which we continue to do today. Acts 2, Joel 2:28-32.

Without the power of the Holy spirit within the believer we are nothing and religion is an empty repeatable religious tradition. Good works and trying in our own estimation will not save us from eternal damnation, only faith and trust in Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection from the dead will do that.
