Another Year?

Another Marching Season!

It never stops and nothing is resolved from year to year in Northern-Ireland? The billions will be poured in and it will relieve for a time, but when it runs out more demands will be met?

The initial problem has not been resolved by the government, but made worse by the bung or the bribe to play to suite a defunct and broken coalition? Which as being warned will end in tears, one hopes the tears of true repentance and not the continued hypocrisy of religiosity?

Proverbs 15:27,  29:4,  Isaiah 33:15,  Ezekiel 22:12,   Exodus 23:7-8, Ephesians 5:11-13,  Titus 2:11-12.

‘Our Father?

God our Father!

All of have had fathers, some good, some not so? Some died, while others ran away to avoid responsibility, while still others were part of the mixture of human relations and sin outside wedlock?

In this world what ever set up or relationship we have with or are a father it is up to us to make the best for our children and do what is right and best? But when we know the Lord Jesus as our personal saviour, we come into personal relationship with both God and His one and only son Jesus!

Knowing God as our Fathers, opens us to know that he cares, loves and always wants the best for us!

Isaiah 63:16,  64:8,  Malachi 2:10,  Matthew 6:9,  Romans 8:15,  1 Corinthians 1:3,  8:6.

Reconciliation. One.

Forgive and Forget.

Bitterness is a terrible condition to be in, when one is claiming to have a faith in God? Like racism and sectarianism, they block the power of the Holy Spirit working in our lives! Jesus was rejected first by His own people, but He has not given up on humans with all our flaws?

Jesus went to the cross/stake/tree for our sins, making that final atonement and rising from the dead so that we may have a New Life and overcome the sting of natural death!

Calvinism in some respects justifies sins, while in others it gives a belief that once saved will get us into heaven? But the bible is more complex and we need to understand it from the context that it was written in?

Luke 23:34,   Romans 5:10,   Matthew 5:23-26,   Colossians 1:20-22,   Hebrews 2:17.

Holocaust Memorial. Two.

Denial?

There are so many people in the world who deny history and God, they want so much to have everything fit their way and they also try at times desperately to hide their failing from near and far?

This is the true side of human nature, it has ben with humanity since the fall of Eve and Adam! But when we face the truth, we are on the road to being healed of the deception we are in and on the way to finding a New Life with Jesus as the Lord of our lives?

Joshua 24:27,   Matthew 10:33,   John 3:14-17,   Titus 1:16.

Jesus, witness the Truth. Two.

Hearing and accepting the Truth.

We may like to go to Church, to be religious, to keep the traditions and believe that going through the ritualism and occasional ‘Good Deeds is enough to be on the right side of God?

But the revelation of who Jesus was and His role of being born into human flesh were born by Pilate a few hours before the Jesus victory at the cross and His resurrection from the dead!

One has to hear the message of repentance, accept ones failure and turn to God! From this point not going back into the same sins again and again to make a mockery of the blood of Jesus who did once for the atonement of our sins?

John 18:37,   Mark 1:14,  Isaiah 9:6,   53:4-7,  Hebrews chapter 7 and 10,   1 John 1:9

Jesus, witness the Truth. One.

‘Glory to God in the Highest.’

Angels appeared to shepherds in the field to tell them to good new that Jesus their Messiah was born in stable! This apperance is not a fluke, but points to Jesus ancestor David the King of Israel and friend of God?

Many people still have the religion that they were brought up into today, but everything to some is order and tradition? It is not based on faith or trust in God, there is no personal relationship with God, with Jesus?

But many thousands each year do come to a personal faith in Jesus as their own personal Lord and Saviour! They had an encounter with Jesus, that has changed their outlook from keeping rules to being set free?

Isaiah 53:4-7,  Luke 1:34-38,  Luke 2:10-15,  Romans 3:23,  6:23,  1 John 1:9.

Refugees. One.

From Africa.

It is sad to say it, but the real victums of the many disasters on this continent are the poor people who have been left behind? The boat people off the coast of Libya are the rich, who can afford to get out, but they face much exploitation by those who traffick people.

Many countries in Europe today do not want these migrant refugees, because they know they are a drain on their resources and yet many are professionsal who will fill those undesirabable jobs?

Many Europeans had to leave between 1800 up to the present to go to both the United States of America and Canada, in effect invading another peoples land and exploiting them? But today too many excuses are to be found in refusing people from this, that and the other.

Numbers 11:5,  Deuteronomy 7:18,  Matthew 16:9,  Mark 8:18,  Hebrews 13:3,  Revelation 2:5.
