Remembering the Fallen?

Armistice and Bitterness!

Old wounds in Ireland take a long time to heal, we have come a long way with peace, but not so the Protestants and their loyalties to Britain!

Despite much hurt and betrayal Ireland has south to move on, but there remains much animosity in Republicans as much as in Loyalists? Despite seeing a common ground between the social classes there remains a division that may never really be healed!

Division is the continued layout of remembering in France and Belgium based on religious backgrounds!

But God wants believers not to be caught up in the idealism of national identity, but rather to remember those who went before us and to be thankful  to God for His redemptive work and promise of Salvation and Eternal Life!

Proverbs 4:22, 13:7,  Malachi 4:2,  Luke 12:51,  John 9:16,  Hebrews 9:11-12,  14,  12:1-2.

‘Out of Control? Two.

Wickedness!

The freedom of choice has allowed humanity to choose its destiny and today the world is full of wickedness, turn on the Tv, media, computers, read the papers, even conversation in the club, bar and home evil, war, murder, killing, disasters are the prevalent news?

But this choice will lead to our ultimate destiny of disaster and being cut off from God for eternity!

People do not want to see these truths, they want for themselves and they want excuses to block off faith, religion in their lives! Many go through the practice of religion, because mummy and daddy did it, its a tradition and nothing more?

But some have faith, misguided or not there is still the opportunity to know the truth of Jesus death and resurrection and to find that personal relationship directly to our Father God without the need of Mary or another legalistic way!

Psalm 13:14,  112:4,   Amos 5:4,  John 3:3-36,  12:46,  16:33,  1 John 2:L13-14,  Revelation 7:14.

Families! Two.

Sense of Belonging?

The world is a hard place, especially when families go all wrong and love is conditional?

Many people today claim that they were not loved by their parents and yet forty to fifty years ago, working conditions and time off for child care was both hard and not available?

Loneliness is another factor in our society, even for married couples when they get older?

What is the remedy to these situations, faith in God and knowing the Lord allows us un-limited access into the Church! But still many Christians to have the same problems as the world, but this should not be?

Genesis 22:8,    John 1:29,   Mark 15:41,   1 Timothy 3:5,   5:3,   Jude 1:12.

Papal Visit? Two.

Low Turnout!

Was it the weather or the failed visit to Northern-Ireland that thwarted this second visit by a Pope to Ireland?

Many people were very disappointed that he could not go to the North, after Ireland had to submit to the Queen of England coming to the Republic to please the other side?

Perhaps the truth was much more with the current trends in society and also his failure to seriously speak out on the abuse in the Church and what he was going to do about it!

Sadly the truth is that many Catholics today live with the world and so does this Pope, who has made some startling claims, which are contradictory to Biblical teaching such as the forgiveness of Judas and that he does not believe in Hell?

Matthew 10:28,   Romans 8:34,   Hebrews 10:12.

Papal Visit! One.

What is Expected?

Many people in Ireland are hoping that during this Papal visit the first since 1979, the new Pope will apologise for all the hurt and pain of what Nuns, monks and priests have done over the years in the various sexual scandals to have rocked the country?

But if one knows the Roman Catholic Church, one should know that everything moves very slowly and it is unlikely this Pope like any other will not have much to say!

People in Ireland have moved on into what is described as a modern society, but the reality for the many who believe the nation is now on the verge of paganism and hostile to the Christian faith?

Salvation only comes through faith in Jesus as the Son of God who died once for our failures, priest, man, pope cannot save us! Only by confession, repentance and faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus will we have the full assurance of Eternal Life!

Job 30:25,  Proverbs 23:29,   Jeremiah 8:6,   Malachi 3:14,   Mark 3:5,   Luke 5:32,  Romans 2:4.

Faith always wins Through!

Over Traditionalism?

We hear much about the Christian religion in the media, but we don’t get to hear of the good things that are happening around the world and all over the place?

New things, God moving changing lives, wars ending, people talking, trying to make peace, new schools, hospitals, pumps for water in deserts and much more!

What God really wants is for His believers to keep living by faith and not caught up in the deadness of ritualism and traditions!

Psalm 36:3,   Acts 10:38,   Ephesians 6:7,   1 Peter 2:15,   20,   3:6.

Orangeism! Two

Will it ever End?

As long as humanity has existed man has devised plans for exclusiveness, so that they can get one better over the other? What orangeism is about is a hoax interpretation of historical facts and biblical truths twisted to meet their needs!

But here is the dilemma that effects most religious systems, Roman Catholicism has its own secret organisations within business and the Priesthood that has a much if not more influences?

Basically to be a real Christian believer is to avoid anything that gets in the way between us and our personal relationship with Jesus! We have to learn to keep to the straight and narrow, our eyes fixed on Him and allow nothing else to stop us from reaching our eternal prize!

Psalm 119:6,  123:2,  Acts 17:31,  Romans 8:6,  12:17,  Philippians 2:8-11,  Titus 2:13,  Hebrews 3:1,  12:2.
