LOVE?

Saint Valentine!

Its that time of the year again when couples express their love to each other with cards, roses and the special romantic meal, but this may be a kind of love that the world has made a tradition but it is not real love?

Real love is to care and cherish, without expecting any return or even a thank you!

The bible tells us that God loved us first, not that we loved Him! His love was enough to send to us His one and only son, to die on the cross/stake/tree and rise from the dead saving all who would believe from their sins!

The application of love will cost us, rejection, opposition, but if we keep focused on Jesus we will continue to have the right attitude and will not be troubled by disappointment, but rejoice in the good fruit that it will produce?

Secular Humanism. Part-One.

U.K. Attack on Religion?

There is currently a big debate about Muslim children wearing head scarves that is leading to advice to Head teachers to have them banned? But in the light of so much sexual exploitation of children, it perhaps would be wise to show a little modesty!

Sikh boys are permitted to wear their traditional head dress and there are many other religions including the Christian faith that are being attacked over wearing symbols or wanting to separate from education on sexual identity and even creationism?

Why cant children just be children and wear what is suitable and let them grow up and make those other decisions when they get to their teens!

Psalm 25:12,  Proverbs 1:29,  10:20,   John 15:16,   Acts 15:7,   Philippians 1:22.

Being lifted Up. One.

Encouraged to Persevere?

One can not say that to have faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus will make us friends of the world? We may be called to serve in the world, but we must never think that Gods ways will be tolerated by the lost!

Everyday Christians are under strains from the daily pressures of life and this can be the same wither we are married, single of celibate. At times it can become unbearable, that we give in and compromise, but thank God we can repent and ask for Jesus forgiveness and get back on track once more!

As believers we have a Spiritual armoury, not of weapons that world uses to kill each other, but to counter all those arguments, questions, jeering and rejection that the world throws at us in their attempt to undermine the power of God!

Religious Freedom. Part-Two.

Christians under Attack!

Apart from us being easy targets are the Jewish religion and the main proponent to attack both of us is Islam, but after that is Atheism, Hindus and Buddhism!

Why, what are they afraid of? Because Christianity has to truth and offer’s all who hear and accept freedom from both religious and government controls!

Jews are hated even by Christians, but without them we would not have our Salvation! Muslims want to eradicate Israel, because they know and fear the return of Jesus who will reign from Jerusalem?

Other religions or non fear also Jesus return, because it will mean an end to their so called belief’s and systems that are nothing more than a pack of lies!

Isaiah 7:14,  Matthew 1:23,  24:18,  Mark 13:16,  Luke 1:27,  Romans 11:8-11,  Revelation 17:14,  19:16.

Religious Freedom. Part-One.

Christianity and Other?

There is a world history of Christianity clashing with other religions, because of our freedoms and their enforced legalism and idolatry? Many lands in Africa clash with Islam, but also with the many primitive religions and beliefs too some of which are nothing more than folklore?

Believers can get killed for their faith, for their failure to respect a certain prophet or a certain custom! Others do not like to see freedom from ritualism, from personality worship and from community control?

Isaiah 58:16,   Matthew 6:14,   John 8:32-33,   36,   Acts 13:46,   14:3,   22:28.

Called Too? Two.

Persevere!

This is an old fashioned word that appears not to be much in circulation today, yet it is a very active word for all believers to refuse the ways and the things of the world?

The world is telling us today that we deserve our freedoms to everything we want, and many believers are falling for this lie? Instead of persevering and refusing they are accepting and opening themselves up to evil!

God expects us to be obedient to Him and to the cost of Jesus shedding His blood on the cross/stake/tree for us!. Even before the cross Jesus’ back was like a ploughed field, this atonement is very precious indeed but many today either refuse to see or throw it away for temporary pleasures?

Genesis 32:24-28,  1 Kings 8:52-58,  Mark 14:38,   Ephesians 6:18,   1 Peter 2:24,   1 John 3:7.

Terror Everywhere?

Fate!.

It would seem that we live in a different world from 9-11-2001, but we do not? It is the same old world, full of terrorism and murder!

The media are good at their job of pumping out propaganda and telling us the same line so long, that we start to believe it!

Fate is an actuality in the Bible, when Jesus pointed out the collapse of the tower of Siloam! Everyday we have to get on with our lives, more people are killed now in road traffic incidents and in the U.S.A. thousands each year are killed by the guns they claim protect them?

Luke 13:4,  Job 18:21,  Isaiah 1:28,   65:11,  Luke 22:37,   Acts 28:4.
