God so Loved…! One.

EASTER is On?

Despite the terrible way the world is in at the moment, with the emphasis taken off Islamic battles and sectarian killings, humanity has poisoned itself once more in a pandemic disease situation!

But apart from the need to self-isolate and to keep the quarantine in place, we must thank God for technology and the Internet that is keeping us seeing each other over the thousands of miles?

Easter is on, because we can share, sing and praise God through various platforms such as Skype and You Tube! We can hear the word and share our lives with loved ones and make this Easter intimate and special and try to reflect of what was achieved for us by Jesus on the cross and His rising from the dead?

Nehemiah 1:11,  Psalm 55:1,   86:1,   Jeremiah 36:7,   Mark 11:24,  John 3:3,   7-9,   14-17,   Acts 4:12,   Romans 3:21-31,   James 5:16.

WHO!

COVID19/Lung infection Virus.

This is a new strain of something that was first identified in 1969, after astronauts returned from the Moon landings, then around the millennium years another strain was at play in the U.S. and now this one breaking out in China after talks with a U.S. business delegation?

Meanwhile the U.S. President has a magic hunch now as how to cure his own problem that is trying to ruin the world, particularly the European Union is a business way?

What should our response as believers be, like Jesus who we claim to follow or know?

Jesus dealt with leprosy in His day, which was contagious and put fear into people, since there was no known cure for it! Many nursing people and carers will be daily dealing with this infection now and they need support, encouragement and prayer!

Not empty shelves, arrogant people and selfishness or self-interest to the dangers of breaking quarantine and other measures that will have to be enforced to stop cross-infection?

Proverbs 30:15,  Mark 1:34,  7:22,  Luke 17:1-17,  Romans 3:21-31,  1 Thessalonians 2:5.

The people have Spoken!

Sinn Fein for the Poor?

It is always the people that decide the ultimate fate of a government, nation, or ideal of a system and in this case Ireland may be flourishing for the rich but not for the student or the poor!

Rents are now astronomical, just us much as they are in the U.K. and off-shore investors are making a killing and paying little taxes to anyone? But this has to change and despite not having a majority people are seeing now through the corruption of the chums political club that has ruled Ireland since 1922!

God also see the suffering of people and He will use what ever instrument that is available to Him to do His will! Injustice is not in His psyche and allowing anarchy and criminality to flourish while making excuses is neither His but our own failures and our need of Him.

Psalm 91:1-6,   Amos 5:4,   John 3:16-17,   Acts 4:12,   Romans 3:21-31,  Hebrews 4:12-13,  1 John 1:8-10.

The Value of Christmas? Two.

A time of answers and Miracles!

The Christmas story is full of answers and miracles, it shows us a loving God who is giving us His one and only Son so that we might believe and be saved back into a personal relationship with Him!

But the world chases after its own answers believing that psychology, sparkling things and money will fill the voids of doubts, disappointment and pain? People turn to alcohol, to tech, to financial security and some to the religion of their choice believing that by austere living they can purge themselves?

Salvation is only found in Jesus and that of seeking His forgiveness and turning away from our pasts knowing that He will give to us a New Life!

Luke 1:46-56,    67-79,    2:25-32,    34-35,    36-38,    John 1:1-5,    3:3,    3:15-16,    Galatians 3:13,    4:4-5.

The Philippines?

Islands of disasters and Troubles!

The history of this island archipelago is that of sadness from conflicts to natural disasters, from dictatorships to epidemics and President Duterte?

The people are perhaps some of the most resilient on the planet or so it would seem, but one is sure that the pains of loss never really go away and suffering probably continues in silence?

The islands are plighted with on going terrorism in the southern islands of Mindanao and Jolo and the threat to Manilla is always there despite U.S. troops being in the country! The war on the drug cartels continue, despite some injustices but before Mr. Duterte came to office the situation was way out of hand and effected nearly every family?

Religious faith in great in this nation, it keeps many going! But to know the Lord as your personal Saviour is even more important to encourage believers to push and press on with education and science to improve their nation with innovation?

Meanwhile the Philippines needs our prayers also, especially when it is out of the media headlines!

Deuteronomy 1:38,   1 Samuel 23:16,   Psalm 119:28,   Isaiah 40:1,  Romans 1:12,   15:4,  Colossians 2:2,   1 Thessalonians 5:11,   1 Timothy 5:1,   Hebrews 3:13,   2 Peter 3:1.

Republic of South-Africa!

Hatred of foreigners and open Racism?

This is not what people around the world expected to ever hear, but it is the reality of the human heart that racism is a world-wide condition!

People get jealous when others make more money and can live better than the locals, some feel that they have been out done by the various incoming communities? But sometimes this is the cover for their failings of being lazy or over charging and they just don’t see why they should be undercut!

The business world is a hard place of competition and yet it is a wonderful place of offering variety and difference to people who have not seen, tasted or known new things?

Prayers are essential now that people are getting killed on the richest and most diverse International nation in Africa! Facing the facts of how we have failed is another and seeking that others will call on Jesus is a most vital line to follow that they be saved!

Genesis 37:11,  Psalm 55:1,   Proverbs 10:18,   26:26,   Matthew 20:15,   1 Corinthians 13:4,   Galatians 5:26,   Philippians 1:15,   Hebrews 12:3.

Arrogance?

Another year of banging the Drums!

Arrogance is a terrible sin and we can all be accused of practicing it, but when it becomes something of a historical excuse and a trap to change as it has with N-Ireland and Orangeism in light of the sad death of a young woman trying to make a career in journalism and political parties refusing to meet out of past bitterness we are in a serious situation!

This is a problem world-wide, but great opportunities are being missed to press on with the peace, now that Brexit has become more of a threat than it seems over the reestablishment of the border that no one wants, and London does not care about neither the U.S. President Trump who makes it up as he goes along?

1 Samuel 15:23,   Job 35:12,   Psalm 75:5,   94:4,   Mark 7:22,   2 Corinthians 12:20,   1 John 2:16.
