Slaves to Sin!

Slaves to Righteousness?

Since we have repented and come to faith in Jesus, we are no longer living in the world by its standards but we have been set free to live in the righteousness of God?

Many believers today are turning away from the truth of everything, because they want to be themselves, they want God in their pocket!

But that is not how it works, we have been bought with the precious blood of Jesus and we must obey God, letting go of everything that would hold us back from being followers?

This is why we have a comforter, the Spirit of God who leads and helps us, when we cannot do it alone, or are struggling!

John 3:3,   14-18,   Acts 2:3-4,   Romans 3:22-23,   6:22-23,   Ephesians 6:10-18,   Revelation 2:2.

Precious and Invaluable!

What we have been Given?

This a great time of the year to reflect on what God has done for us, between the Easter resurrection, the Ascension of Jesus and the coming of the Holy Spirit to those first believers gathered in Jerusalem for Pentecost!

We must consider that faith we have to believe the invisible and the impossible has been imparted to us through the ‘Good Works of Jesus and that we also have our belief which is invaluable more than anything this world can give to us.

Jesus said it to Satan during His time of temptation in the wilderness by Satan and this was written for us to in the society that we live in and face today. We must hold on and maintain what we have, while also sharing the love of Jesus that is in our hearts will all and those less fortunate in the world?

Matthew 4:1-1,  13:46,   1 Corinthians 3:15,   James 5:7,   1 Peter 1:7,  19,   2 Peter 1:1,  4.

Talking about Jesus?

To a decaying World!

Many believers I meet tell me that it is getting more difficult to share our faith in God, because the world wants their god to fit in to their ideas of who and what He is rather than us fitting into His will!

That is a tough area to be in, while most people today do not want to hear either about God or religion and yet there is so much unhappiness and despair!

The problem with religion is that there has been a failure to preach the gospel and many people believe that to be a Christian is just to follow the rules of we must not do this or that, steal, murder, commit adultery, be good living people and go to Church on a regular basis?

John 3:18-21,   1 Timothy 1:13-15,    2 Timothy 3:10,    James 2:5,    Revelation 2:13.

Suffering Servant! Part-Three.

Gaining the Victory?

When Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, as He said He would He gained the victory over death and for us entry into the New Life!

We have to be born-again to taste Eternity, religious observance, wearing a Christian name tag, doing good works bowing down or praying to saints will not get us to Heaven?

The confession of sins, repentance and faith in the death of Jesus on the cross and His rising from the dead lets us know that God has forgiven our past failures and we know are in Him.

Matthew 17:33,   Luke 18:33,   John 3:3,   31-36,   Acts 4:12,   1 Corinthians 15:57,   1 John 5:4.

Suffering Servant! Part-Two.

Bearing our Shame?

Jesus took our sins away by placing them on His own body, that was in the appearance of a ploughed field! It was one thing for a man to die for a cause, it was another for Him to go through so much pain and misery for us who deserve nothing in truth from God?

What are we going to do this Easter, let it pass by, be traditional, keep celebrating it for the children without failing to respond to the serious side and seek our Salvation?

Luke 12:47-48,   John 19:17,   Hebrew 9:22,   12:4,   13:13,   1 Peter 2:24.

Roman Catholic Abuse!

Papal Inquiry?

It would seem once again a arrogance has arisen in the Roman Catholic religion in relation to abuse of children both physically and Psychologically! One would think that the Pope had heard what his followers have been saying, but one does not believe the Papacy ever listens to its people but only to its clergy?

If changes come it will not be next week, but perhaps in decades to come! If we are looking for justice, then the courts are open for that? Because Rome is not listening until the laws of the lands are a financial threat to them!

Faith in Jesus is essential to be a real believer over that of just having a name tag, but we need to see that a human cannot intercede on the same level as Jesus does for us! The time of priests, and confessionals is now well passed their date of human control, one can repent and pray to Jesus anywhere without the need of Mary!

Proverbs 6:25,   13:10,   21:24,   Jeremiah 48:30,   John 3:3,   1 Corinthians 10:6,   2 Peter 2:10,   Revelation 21:8,    22:15.

‘I Have a Dream!

Martin Luther King and Bloody Sunday?

It is ironic that the words of this North-American civil rights preacher would lead to the rights of Catholics in Ireland and the eventual tragedy of ‘Bloody Sunday?

Martin Luther Kings words still and will continue to have impact around the world until the Lords return, for every oppressed peoples and cultures! Crossing racial, colour and cultural backgrounds and inspiring much needed freedom in this world!

Much can be said about his failings, well the Holy Bible tells us that we are all sinners! So stop pointing fingers in your self proclaimed righteousness and try Jesus today, while also seeking to help all who are oppressed in society and culture!

Joel 2:28,   Acts 2:17,   Leviticus 6:2,   Judges 4:3,   Psalm 9:9,   72:13,  103:13,   Matthew 18:27,   Luke 4:18,   Acts 10:38,  Hebrews 11:37.
