Promised Return. Part-Two.

The Day of the Lord.

This is when Jesus will return for the believers, but it is also the day of Judgement. All will have to face the Judgement seat of God. Jesus is also bringing with Him His heavenly army to defeat Babylon and the armies of the nations who are attacking Jerusalem and Israel, the people of His eye.

There is a lot more to these events and in time we hope to look at different aspects that are mentioned across the bible, not just in the book of Revelation.

Joel 2:1,  Zephaniah 1:14,  Matthew 7:22,  2 Peter 2:9.

Promised Return. Part-One.

The Ascension.

When Jesus ascended, after forty day on the earth after His resurrection from the dead He promised He would return. Jesus is returning for us who believe, to take us home to Heaven. He told His Disciples that he was going to prepare mansions.

It is the world who are only afraid of the Lords return.

John 14:1-3,   Acts 1:7-11,  1 Corinthians 15:52,  2 Peter 3:10.

Waiting. Part-Two.

Simeon. An Example.

This is a good way of understanding how to wait on the Lord, it is by our faith that we know that God hears us and keeps His promises to us. Our experiance of the Lord may not be on the same scale, but what ever it is it will be dramatic for us and worth the waiting,

Psalm 25:21,  33:20,  62:5,  Luke 2:25, 38.

Waiting. Part-One.

Don’t give up!

The waiting game is a hard place to be for all of us, it could be the parcel in the post or the email that is the answer to a job, a date, a refund. We could be waiting for blood results from the hospital, a letter from the GP, a Job interview.

The time to us seems longer than it actually is, this was the same with the Disciples. They had to wait for His resurrection and then to see Him and then when He left the stay in Jerusalem for the Holy Spirit to be poured out.

We must learn to wait on God and not give up, because Jesus always has the best for us.

1 Chronicles 23:8,  Psalm 27:14,  37:34,  Proverbs 20:22,  Romans 8:25.

He has Arisen. Part-Two.

Witnesses.

The amazing fact about the resurrection of Jesus was that well over five-hundred people saw Him. From His own Disciples and followers to Romans soldiers and strangers going about their daily lives.

The Romans recorded these reports methodically, wither they believed them or not. Jesus would spend forty days on earth, before he ascended back into Heaven with the promise of His final return.

Matthew 28:16,  Mark 16:12-16, Luke 24:13-49, John 2019-29, Acts 1:3-8, 1 Corinthians 15:5-7.

Old Testament References to fulfilled Prophecy, Psalm 16:1-11, Psalm 22, Isaiah 52:13-53:12.
