He has Arisen. Part-One.

Leadership.

On the third day, as he had promised Jesus arose from the dead. He had conqured death and this is how we who have faith are set free from the curse that death is.

Matthew 17:22, Mark 9:30-31, Luke 24:6-7.

We tend to sometimes overlook the account of Peter thinking that this was just his restoration to be forgiven and continue in following, but this has more to do with leadership qualities.

Being a Christian, means that we may be asked to take on some responsibility in our fellowship, from making the tea, to teaching in the Sunday school, youth work or just visiting the older folks.

John 21:15-17.

‘Nailed for Us. Part-Three.

He died for you and Me.

‘Christians can make a lot of fuss over doctrines about Jesus dying on the Cross and the Communion table, but the bible is very clear and so is the Greek. So their are no excuses to say somthing different.

Today is ‘Good Friday, when Jesus paid the penalty for our sin, failures. This day of shedding His blood is a one off event for the redemption/purshase of our souls back from Satan to God.

The blood was not spilt for legalists or traditionalists, but for all who would have faith in believing Jesus death and resurrection. This not the end of the story, but the beginning, because Jesus ascended with the promise to return for us at the end of the age.

Job 33:24,  Psalm 109:3,  Romans 8:34,  Hebrews 10:10-14.

‘Nailed for Us. Part-Two.

My Kingdom, is not of this Realm.

Pilate was an interesting man to be recorded in history, he was intelligent and he was privilaged to meet God face to face and question Him in human flesh.

Jesus told Him a truth, which was far beyond his comprehension and yet he also informed him that his power was not his own. We see that Pilate did try his very best to get the Lord set free.

Jesus said ‘that His Kindom was not of this realm’ and this remains so, but we who have placed our faith and trusted in the works of Jesus on the Cross and His resurrection from the dead have become part of His Kingdom.

Luke 17:20,  John 18:36-37,  Romans 14:17.

‘Nailed for Us. Part-One.

He was Bruised for Us.

Easter is less than three weeks away, many people will celebrate with chocolate eggs, bunnys and cards and have no inkling of what it is all about?

Jesus had to die in this way for us on the stake/tree/cross, it was the only way that we could be set free from our Sins.

Many Christians have sadly rejected the movie, ‘The Passion, but Jesus was beaten severly by the Roman soldiers, perhaps much more than any other man. We cannot deny what the bible tells us about these events.

Isaiah 53:5,  John 19:2-3, 5.
